The Academy for Excellence in Flooring has announced its Autumn/Winter 2022 courses, the first to take place at its new purpose-built Knowsley training centre with improved facilities.
Offering some of the best training facilities of their type in the country, the Academy for Excellence in Flooring has announced its full programme of courses for Autumn/Winter 2022, giving floor professionals the chance to expand their knowledge, improve skills and provide value-added benefits to customers.
For those looking to build a career in the industry, the Academy’s foundation courses are the ideal starting point. Providing a mix of practical installations, theory and demonstrations, the courses are available in wood and laminate (two-days) or vinyl (one-day). With one-to-one mentoring throughout, taking part in a foundation course gives you a path to good practice throughout your career and faster access (six-months) to the Academy’s highly regarded Master Installer programme.
For professionals with more than two years of experience, the Master Installer courses are the way to new work through a listing on the quick-step.co.uk website and retailer network and manufacturer-backed lifetime workmanship warrantees. Taking place for wood and laminate (three-days) or vinyl (two-days), the courses include a pass or fail assessment to guarantee exceptional installations. Again, a mix of practical installations, theory and demonstrations on a broad range of topics, ensures you leave with more knowledge, better skills and the ability to provide the work-winning difference of installation guarantees.
Now located in Knowsley, Liverpool, the new centre features six training bays, each 13m2, mixing brand new challenges as well as some of the Academy’s most familiar obstacles including curved walls and toilets. Alongside, there’s a state-of-the-art cutting room to minimise dust, automatic heating and cooling and high levels of natural light.
