Flooring Outdoors with Tilemaster Adhesives

Tilemaster Adhesives External Flooring Solutions

Tilemaster External Leveller was developed specifically to fill a gap in the market for a practical, easy-to-apply smoothing compound for external use. It is fast setting, free flowing and suitable for use in damp or even wet conditions, such as swimming pools or under a DPM at depths from 2mm to 50mm. It is suitable for use with tiles and artificial turf and can even be left as a wearing surface.

When fixing tiles to an external screed or slab, due to the stresses of external service conditions, it is vitally important to make sure that the tiles are well adhered to the substrate with a solid bed of adhesive under the tiles.

Tilemaster Adhesives’ Magix is ideal to be used for fixing external tiles. The high-yield, polymer-modified adhesive has excellent wetting out properties, producing greater adhesive coverage on the back of the tile very easily and ensuring full coverage is achieved without having to work the tile too much. Additionally, the adhesive doesn’t slump, making the range ideal for installing heavy, thick tiles. Magix is unaffected by frost after setting and can be used in areas exposed to water for long periods.

The range consists of two products. Tilemaster Magix-S is the standard set version. With its extended pot life of approximately 3-4 hours, the fixer has plenty of time to install the tiles and manoeuvre them once in place, making it ideal where longer working times are required, and the 16-hour set time allows for next day grouting. Where more speed is required, Tilemaster Magix-R can be used. This rapid setting formulation has a pot life of around 30 minutes and is ready for grouting after three hours.

Tilemaster Grout 3000 can be used to grout the tiles after waiting the appropriate amount of time for the adhesive to cure and set. It can be used for joints up to 20mm in width or depth and is unaffected by frost once it has fully set.
